Pacific Blood and Cedar Bones

The first few weeks are behind us and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better response from everyone. We sold out at our retail store and our online store has been blowing up as well. We took some time to reflect on why things have gone so well and seems it comes back to the place we call home! If you live on the Island, you know why. If you’ve visited the island, you know why. This place is supernatural. Everything about it inspires us, and we think that’s reflected in our design work and the vibe we put out. RSDK captures the Island life in a new light. Looking forward, we’ve got some amazing collaborations ahead, we have new retail stores to announce, and we think you’ll be surprised and stoked. So from the bottom of our heart which pumps cold pacific ocean to the marrow of our cedar bones, we thank you! Our tribe is growing everyday and we couldn’t be more grateful. Keep it unreal, RSDK.

Cold Seas

Storm season is upon us. From Westport to Jordan River, La Push to Tofino, the winter swells reward those dedicated enough to face the fury. On the right side, a strange breed hunts the raw and rare waves of Nile Creek and Pipers, defying all skeptics. These watermen embrace the cold seas as their ally in repelling those who play life safe. They earn every turn and gain the respect of those standing on the shore in disbelief. “How can they be out there?” one chatters to a friend in full storm watch armour, “It’s far too cold” And you know what? They’re right.

Tall Trees

Walk 20 feet off most roads on this Island and you are on your own. One is still able to step where none have stepped before and experience what was common to the first peoples; connection and reverence. The moss that drips and the fog that conceals are but two of the many signals that you are here and that there is no need to go there.

We all have our secret trails and gullies, creek beds and tube runs and we are far too skilled at deception to allow others to find them. You earn these secrets by putting in time and being there when others are too busy. Never be too busy. Explore the land of tall trees with a friend at your side and a trusty hound in the lead.

Welcome to the Wreck Age

People pursue many things in life; peace, happiness, wisdom, relationships, the metaphysical. But to actually grasp any of these within your consciousness, let alone your hand is a challenging thing, if not impossible. They are the intangible, they are the essence of a life well lived. Not pursued and accomplished but rather experienced. They are metaphysical, they are meta-collectable, they are meta-meta. They are found and consumed by one’s soul when the very atoms of our physical existence align, allowing for the supernatural to seep through our valences and beyond the subatomic. This is the wreck age, welcome.
